Riverview Elementary isn’t just a school, it’s the beating heart at the center of our entire neighborhood. Closing its doors impacts everyone: our students, local families, neighboring residents, and the vibrant sense of community we’ve built together. While closure is currently just a recommendation, the decisions being made right now will shape our area for decades to come.
Strong schools make strong neighborhoods, and Riverview needs all of us right now. Whether you have five minutes to send a quick message or an hour to attend a meeting, your presence matters! Explore the practical, impactful ways YOU can take action to protect our school and keep our community strong.
You can email the Board of Directors at board.directors@evergreenps.org or contact them individually. Tell them what Riverview means to you and your family, and help them understand why they shouldn't close the school.

While emails can get buried in an inbox, a collection of real community stories, drawings, and handwritten notes creates an undeniable physical impact that district leadership cannot ignore.
We are assembling the Voices of Riverview - a collection of creative works celebrating what Riverview means to each of us. We plan to have a digital version, and deliver a physical binder by hand directly to the School Board and Superintendent at an upcoming meeting.
Whether you are a parent, a student drawing a picture, a long-time neighbor, or an alumnus, your perspective matters. To make sharing your story quick and easy, we’ve provided downloadable templates below tailored for students, families, and community members.
Complete your submission by Friday, November 6th!
How to Submit Your Letter or Artwork:
In Person (Preferred): Drop off your completed letter, template, or drawing directly at Riverview Elementary in the front office during school hours.
Digital Submission: If you can't drop it off in person, simply scan or take a clear photo of your page and email it to us at saveriverview@rpto.org, and we will print it and add it to the binder for you.
