Move-A-Thon

What is Move-A-Thon?

The Move - A - Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year.  It gets kids working together towards common goals, staying physically active, and supporting their school.  Last year students raised over $3,000! To assist with increasing needs due to budget cuts in our schools, our fundraising goal this year is $5,000.   We try to make it a fun experience for the kids by having each grade dress in a color of the rainbow, and we set up stations around the track to make the run exciting for the kids.   We have bubble blowers, balloons, flags, pool noodles and a cheering team of parents.

We want all kids to do their best and have fun while participating.  We let kids track how many laps they run, but we are asking for flat donations as opposed to lap pledges.  

How does it work?

Students collect DONATIONS from family and friends in advance of the event. Then, on the big day, everybody runs or walks laps around the school, rain or shine! 

How can you help? 

• Help your child(ren) collect donations from family and friends.

• Send out of town family and friends a Donation Letter Request and the link to our PayPal account.

• Help your child(ren) get ready to MOVE, move, move! A great, fun way for families to exercise together.

• Volunteer with the Move - A - Thon Team to help before or during the event by emailing Nicole at nicole@rpto.org

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000! That’s a BIG number but with your support our Roadrunners can achieve anything!
